As a former harbor town, Dokkum has a rich and extensive history one could talk about for hours. With our guide, you can discover the most important as well as the most beautiful locations in the city center.

Every day, times available upon request. How long does it take? About an hour. Costs? €5.- per person and €2,- for children up until the age of twelve. Discount possible for groups larger than 6 persons.

Dokkum and Boniface
Dokkum, isn’t that town famous, or infamous, for being Saint Boniface’s murder location? Exactly, and during this tour you will discover who Saint Boniface was and why the Frisians murdered him. In the town there are still many locations that have a link to the murdered missionary and you will visit these with our guide, and end the tour at the beautiful Boniface pilgrimage chapel.
